Decoustics’ R&D Manager Ali Chitsaz and Sales Manager Jim Church gave a dynamic lecture on Innovation for High Performance Acoustics to 3rd year undergraduate students at the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto. Using completed projects as examples, Ali and Jim educated students on the importance of acoustics in different spaces, taught about various classifications and the basic principles of calculating NRC level requirements. They explained mounting for acoustical testing, showed some of our latest innovative materials and demonstrated how Decoustics pushes the boundaries of engineering to deliver great acoustical performance through custom applications of several types of high-end proprietary materials.
