Decoustics’ Claro offers an original ceiling solution to Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children. For construction of two floors of the 785,000 sq.ft. Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children in Birmingham, AL, the architect specified custom sound-absorbent Claro panels in a unique suspended Ceilencio ceiling grid from Decoustics, with custom-designed butterfly clips to address the challenge presented by the hospitals curved interior walls. Strict precision during the engineering and design process was critical, as the slightest error would have thrown the ceiling off course and made it impossible for the panels to fit properly. However, detailed photographs and measurements using 3D laser technology-enabled the installer to complete a flawless installation.
