Fire safety design of the building is crucial to minimize consequences of a fire by preventing injury to people and limiting damage to surfaces and structures. Residential and commercial codes for safe construction vary according to state, type of room and building where they are to be installed. The general requirements for suspended ceilings - and they should be regarded as compulsory in all premises - are that ceilings make only a negligible contribution to the fire development and to the production of smoke and they must not break and collapse during the early stages of the fire when evacuation and rescue operations can still be carried out.

Human safety is a subject that we take very seriously and that is why Decoustics’ products achieve Class A fire rating for a fully finished product in accordance with ASTM E84 and CAN/ULC S102. We test our products not as individual components, but as a composite: fully finished and assembled product. This test result guarantees the lowest level of flame spread in case of an emergency, making our products a safe and reliable choice for all applications.

A COMPLETE CEILING SUSPENSION SYSTEM FOR EASE OF INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

Ease, speed and accuracy of installation as well as access to the plenum for maintenance and repairs thereafter are important aspects to be considered when choosing the right ceiling system for the space. We offer a range of custom suspension and mounting options to best suit your project objectives.

For added flexibility in your design most of our products can be integrated into our proprietary Ceilencio® ceiling suspension system. Ceilencio® is a concealed extrusion grid that allows for geometrical and radial shapes, multi-level ceiling construction and integrated LEDs that lock onto the grid itself. It is customizable, fully-engineered and 100% downwardly accessible through the use of a unique torsion spring mechanism permitting individual panels to be "hinged" down for easy access to the plenum without the need to take them off the grid, thus preventing potential damage and soiling. When maintenance is complete, guiding fins on the extrusions lock panels perfectly into place and ensure meticulous alignment throughout the entire area of the ceiling.

Additionally, this system is certified for high seismicity in accordance with test protocol of ICC-ES AC-156 and is a dependable choice for regions with frequent earthquake activity.
