SUSPENSION AND MOUNTING SYSTEMS

Decoustics Ceilencio® is an integrated acoustical panel ceiling system consisting of a proprietary concealed extruded aluminum grid and panels. The ceiling is 100% downwardly accessible via a unique torsion spring mechanism which permits individual panels to be “hinged” down (or completely removed if necessary) for access to mechanical and electrical services. The grid is suspended using hanger wires, rods or similar suspension components.

INSTALLATION

Typically installed in areas where a floating panel effect is desired. A minimum 4″ (100mm) reveal is required around each panel to facilitate a progressive installation. A 1″ (25mm) reveal around each panel is possible, however perimeter panels require a minimum 4″ (100mm) reveal.

Typically installed in areas where a floating panel effect is desired. A minimum 1″ (25 mm) reveal is required around each panel to facilitate installation. The panels clip onto an installer supplied frame or grid system and are individually removable by lifting upwards moving sideways and lowering. The frame or grid system is secured using hanger wires or rods supplied by the installing contractor.

INSTALLATION

Panels lay into an exposed standard or custom suspension grid and are supported on all edges. For larger panels an intermediate T-bar is employed and secured to clips on the panel backs to reduce panel sag. The entire assembly lays into the exposed grid. In all cases, the ceiling system is 100% accessible. Ceiling perimeter trim options include an exposed wall mold, shadow mold, or T-bar.

Panel ends are supported at ceiling-wall junctions using exposed wall moldings or T-bar components. Panel can be either butted together, have defined joints or mounted to provide wide reveals. Span panels can be up to 10′ (3050mm) long with 100% accessibility to plenum spaces depending on panel size. Panels are removed by lifting, tilting and lowering.

Typically used in waffle slab construction to create a ceiling with depth and architectural interest. Sunken panels are attached using mounting J-clips and a minimum space of 2-1/4″ (57 mm) is required behind the panel to accommodate hardware and installation. The back of the panels are typically positioned 2-1/4″ (57 mm) down from the top of the recess in the waffle (coffer). A floating panel effect is achieved via a minimum 1″ (25 mm) wide reveal which is required around each panel to facilitate installation.
