Abundant customization capabilities and exceptional sound absorption properties of Quadrillo deliver utmost flexibility when designing with the aesthetic of wood. Quadrillo panels are constructed with a high-performance no-added urea formaldehyde core sandwiched within an engineered composite wood frame. Acoustical absorption is achieved through unique perforations combined with the acoustical core. The percentage of open area is approximately 4%; the v-grooves create a four-sided funnel that allows sound to arrive at a variety of angles, focusing the transfer of energy over a broader surface area of absorption. Quadrillo can be completely customized to suit specific project requirements, it is a fully-engineered product and is available in a large range of natural wood veneers, stains or paint finishes.
Select one of our most popular veneers below or specify your own. Decoustics has the capability to source a variety of different veneers, or custom stain wood to achieve your design intent.
Decoustics offers a full suite of project management services and utilizes state-of-the-art technology to deliver the ultimate design flexibility. Quadrillo acoustically perforated panels are custom-engineered to a wide range of unique shapes and sizes, and can be styled to compliment any space. To meet any specific design requirements Quadrillo is available in a variety of wood veneers with clear lacquer finish, custom stains, and solid colors matched to any paint chip. Quadrillo products may be fabricated according to the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) standards and certified by NEPCon, bearing the marks of the Rainforest Alliance® as an advocate for responsible supply chains.
Application | Ceilings and walls. |
Shapes | Panels can be pre-curved and custom engineered to attain a wide range of unique shapes. Minimum curving radius for outside is 16″ (400mm) and for inside it is 24” (600mm). |
Sizes | Recommended maximum panel size is 48″ in width and 60″ in length for Ceilencio® suspension system. Larger sizes are possible with other ceiling and wall mounting systems. |
Thickness | Quadrillo core is available in three thicknesses:
|
Grooving |
Create your own custom patterns by specifying profile spacing. Solid portions must be multiples of 5mm. |
Weight | Weight depends on panel thickness and frame. Generally a QPP-25 panel having an overall thickness of 1-3/8″ (35mm) weighs an average of 3.5 lbs. per sq. ft. (17.1 kg/m2), and a QPP-50 panel with thickness of 2-3/8″ (60mm) weighs an average of 5.5 lbs. per sq. ft. (26.85 kg/m2). Solid wood border frames can add significantly to these weights. |
Wood Veneers | Select one of our nine standard wood veneers or specify your own. Decoustics has the capability to source a variety of different veneers as well as custom stain wood to match different wood species. Quadrillo veneer lay-up is quarter sliced and as slip matched as a standard. Other veneer cuts and lay up options are available by request.
|
Color/Stain | Custom lacquer toning, tinting and sheen to match other wood finishes. Custom color matching to any paint chip. Glossy, matte, metallic options also available. |
Edges | Variety of Design Return options is available. |
Back | Perforated hardboard. |

Decoustics Ceilencio® is an integrated acoustical panel ceiling system consisting of a proprietary concealed extruded aluminum grid and panels. The ceiling is 100% downwardly accessible via a unique torsion spring mechanism which permits individual panels to be “hinged” down (or completely removed if necessary) for access to mechanical and electrical services. The grid is suspended using hanger wires, rods or similar suspension components.

Typically installed in areas where a floating panel effect is desired. A minimum 1″ (25 mm) reveal is required around each panel to facilitate installation. The panels clip onto an installer supplied frame or grid system and are individually removable by lifting upwards moving sideways and lowering. The frame or grid system is secured using hanger wires or rods supplied by the installing contractor.

Panels lay into an exposed standard or custom suspension grid and are supported on all edges. For larger panels an intermediate T-bar is employed and secured to clips on the panel backs to reduce panel sag. The entire assembly lays into the exposed grid. In all cases, the ceiling system is 100% accessible. Ceiling perimeter trim options include an exposed wall mold, shadow mold, or T-bar.

Panel ends are supported at ceiling-wall junctions using exposed wall moldings or T-bar components. Panel can be either butted together, have defined joints or mounted to provide wide reveals. Span panels can be up to 10′ (3050mm) long with 100% accessibility to plenum spaces depending on panel size. Panels are removed by lifting, tilting and lowering.

Typically used in waffle slab construction to create a ceiling with depth and architectural interest. Sunken panels are attached using mounting J-clips and a minimum space of 2-1/4″ (57 mm) is required behind the panel to accommodate hardware and installation. The back of the panels are typically positioned 2-1/4″ (57 mm) down from the top of the recess in the waffle (coffer). A floating panel effect is achieved via a minimum 1″ (25 mm) wide reveal which is required around each panel to facilitate installation.
