Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Unique leaf design ceiling with acoustical properties from Decoustics floats above Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Taking inspiration from its surroundings, the ceiling design for the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens new visitors’ center atrium is designed to resemble a large, inverted, free-floating palm leaf, assembled from several slopping triangular panels of Decoustics Claro in a suspended reveal system. Planning the space as a premier event venue, the architect specified custom panels with high sound absorption and light reflectance to ensure excellent acoustics and day lighting. Using digital 3D modeling software and detailed drawings, the ceilings contractor brought the complex design to life.
